Justice signs special session bills

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Governor Jim Justice has signed 17 bills that state lawmakers passed during the special legislative session held last week.

Justice announced the signings on Wednesday. The governor originally vetoed the bills for technical errors, which were corrected and sent to Justice for reconsideration.

The bills passed include changes to the state’s anti-hazing law and allowing the vertical integration of medical cannabis operations, which allows a single person or company to hold growing, processing and dispensing permits.
