Fairmont man charged with arson, murder in fatal fire

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — A 45-year-old Marion County man is facing charges relating to a fatal fire that occurred in March.

Clyde Dean Jr. was arrested Wednesday and charged with first degree murder and first degree arson in the death of Cheryl Willis.

Dean is currently being held at North Central Regional Jail.

Willis, 44, lived alone at 517 Gaston Avenue when the fire occurred March 15. She was pronounced dead at UMPC Mercy Hospital the following day.
