Eleven individuals charged of illicit drug offenses in Lewis County

WESTON, W.Va. — Eleven individuals are being charged with illicit drug offenses following a months-long investigation in Lewis County.

On Thursday, members of the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations served multiple drug associated arrest warrants throughout the area.

”Our office has fielded a manifold of complaints concerning a number of the individuals from today’s operation,” Sheriff Adam M. Gissy said in a news release. “We’re optimistic that future investigations will target more of the same whom have blighted many of our neighborhoods.”

Those facing charges include:

  • *Thomas R. Suder (D.O.B. – 12/03/1990) – Delivery of Methamphetamine x2
  • *Daniel W. Backus Jr. (D.O.B. – 09/09/1983) – Delivery of Methamphetamine x2
  • Brittany D. Lattea (D.O.B. – 12/15/1993) – Delivery of Methamphetamine x2
  • Darian C. Lewis (D.O.B. – 01/10/1990) – Deliver of Methamphetamine x2
  • Robert M. Metz (D.O.B. – 07/13/1990) – Delivery of Marijuana x2
  • Shyla L. Landis (D.O.B. – 06/07/1988) – Delivery of Methamphetamine x2
  • *Joseph W. Lattea (D.O.B. – 12/10/1990) – Possession of a Controlled Substance x2
  • *Kristy L. Vankirk (D.O.B. – 01/26/1980) – Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Taylor C. Reed (D.O.B. – 01/29/1999) – Possession of a Controlled Substance x2
  • Sonya Rogers (D.O.B. – 10/31/1976) – Possession of a Controlled Substance x2
  • Sarah Sprouse (D.O.B. – 09/06/1991) – Possession of a Controlled Substance

An asterisk beside the defendants name denotes the person is in police custody or accounted for.
