New Sweet Spot episode enters the podcast portal

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Marcus Simms entered the NCAA transfer portal on April 29, Kenny Robinson weighed in June 4, and Derek Pitts followed June 5. All have been removed from West Virginia’s football roster.

Three starters gone from a team already in rebuilding mode. Two of those departures, Simms and Robinson, face serious academic issues that predate the coaching change — issues that threaten their eligibility for 2019 whether that be at West Virginia or anywhere else.

On the 74th episode of “The Sweet Spot with A.T.” podcast, we delve into the mess first-year coach Neal Brown inherited and how his staff can dig out of it. Plus we shuffle the deck in the secondary (where Robinson and Pitts were projected leaders) and provide the latest on football and basketball recruiting.
