Police investigate armed robbery in Westover

WESTOVER, W.Va. — Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place just before 1 a.m. Friday.

According to Westover Police Officer S. Hilling, two men in a car behind the Circle K on Holland Avenue, were robbed at gunpoint for $4,500 at about 12:40 a.m. on Friday.

The robber took off running and police were not able to locate him during a search of the area.

Hilling said a suspect has been identified in the case.
