Man found guilty on 19 sexual abuse crimes

MORGAN COUNTY, W.Va. — A Morgan County man was convicted Wednesday of multiple sexual offense charges, including sexual abuse by a custodian.

A jury found David Ball guilty on six counts of second-degree sexual assault, six counts of sexual abuse by a custodian, six counts of incest and a count of attempted sexual assault.

Ball’s trial began Tuesday and wrapped up Wednesday. The jury deliberated for an hour before reaching their verdict.

Ball will be sentenced July 30 at 9 a.m. He faces up to 363 years in prison.
