Man injured in Charleston shooting

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A man is hospitalized after being shot Sunday afternoon on Charleston’s West Side.

According to Charleston police, Adam Matthew Denson, 31, of Charleston, suffered gunshot wounds to his legs.

Denson was shot at around 2:30 p.m Sunday in the 500 block of Main Street.

He was hospitalized Sunday evening in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.

The shooting follows a West Side murder that occurred on the Fourth of July. Tre Gibson, 19, of Charleston, was shot and killed. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Braheem Jamal Griffin, 25, of Charleston, on a charge of first degree murder.
