Warrant issued for former Lincoln County non-profit CEO

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — West Virginia State Police issued a warrant on Tuesday for a former business leader accused of embezzling funds from a Lincoln County non-profit.

Brian Crist, 50, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, served as chief executive officer of Lincoln County Primary Care Center Inc. between 2001 and 2018. According to investigators, he used his position to divert money, services and property for personal gain.

Crist allegedly made more than $100,000 worth of personal purchases using a company credit card, including home improvement supplies for two personal homes in Lincoln County, Baltimore Orioles memorabilia and baseball equipment.

Troopers add Crist instructed company employees to work on personal home renovations. He is accused of also lying on timesheet documents and other paperwork.

Crist faces felony charges of embezzlement, falsifying accounts, obtaining money by false pretense and computer fraud.
