Maryland man indicted for June bank robbery

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A federal jury on Tuesday indicted a Maryland man for robbing a Berkeley Springs bank in June.

Steven Silverman, of Thurmont, Maryland, is charged with a count of bank robbery. He allegedly robbed the City National Bank of Berkeley Springs on June 4, taking $1,730.

Silverman, 49, faces up to 20 years behind bars and a fine of up to $250,000.
