Victim of Huntington shooting dies after being taken off life support

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — A teenager shot outside a bar Sunday morning died a few hours later after being taken off of life support, Huntington Police Chief Hank Dial said.

Tyler Zhea Asbury, 19, was shot outside the Hot Corner Bar on 4th Avenue not long after a fight that began inside the bar moved outside.

Chief Dial said a homicide investigation is underway. No arrests have been made.

The Hot Corner Bar is a popular bar for Marshall students.
