NICHOLAS COUNTY, W.Va. — The state Fire Marshal’s Office continues its investigation into the arson of multiple structures in Nicholas County.

According to the office, two homes and a mobile home trailer on Whipperwill Road in Summersville were destroyed on July 9. Another open structure on the property was damaged.

Investigators said an unknown vehicle was on the property a couple of days before the fire. The vehicle is described as a later model Chevrolet pickup truck that is burgundy or maroon with a black primer hood.

Authorities described the driver as a heavy-set man around 60 years old, and a passenger as a slim-built person with no teeth, Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
