Route 50 storms produce power outages

HARRISVILLE, W.Va. — Heavy storms moving through West Virginia Thursday evening knocked power off to more than 10,000 Mon Power customers.

The National Weather Service issued several severe thunderstorm warnings and flash flood warnings along the U.S. Route 50 corridor from Parkersburg to Harrisville and east.

A big thunderstorm also hit Marion County where more than 8-thousand customers were reported without electrical service.
