One person wounded in shooting near downtown Beckley

BECKLEY, W.Va. — The victim of a shooting was hospitalized with unspecified injuries, following an incident in Beckley Sunday.

According to investigators, the shooting occurred on Barber Avenue at approximately 3:30 p.m.

The victim, an adult male, was transported by a personal vehicle to a local hospital. The extent of his injuries was not disclosed, though he was described as being in stable condition, Sunday evening.

No suspects have been named.
