One injured in Beckley shooting; suspect at large

BECKLEY, W.Va. — An early morning shooting in east Beckley left one person wounded Friday.

According to police, the incident happened on Missouri Avenue, shortly before 1:00 a.m. The victim, an adult female whose identity was not disclosed, was hospitalized with injuries described as non-life threatening.

No information about a possible suspect has been released.

A Beckley Police Department spokesperson said the investigation is ongoing, and that more information will be released, as it becomes available.
