Man killed in Berkeley County shooting

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — A murder investigation is underway in Berkeley County after a man was found shot to death early Friday morning.

According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department, the body of Thomas Dove Jr. was found shot multiple times at a residence near the Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport.

Dove, 40, was pronounced dead at Berkeley Medical Center. An autopsy will be performed.

The body was found at about 1 a.m. Friday in the 2300 block of Paynes Ford Road.

The sheriff’s department hasn’t named any suspects.
