2 Morgantown men charged with drug possession

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Citizen complaints led to a search warrant service in the 800 block of Price Street on Wednesday and police arresting a suspected drug dealer.

Matthew David Flemming, 40, of Morgantown, was charged with possession with intent to deliver narcotics. Tavion Scott, 19, of Morgantown, was also arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.

The Morgantown Police Department said officers confiscated 33 grams of methamphetamine, 10 grams of fentanyl, Xanax, marijuana, body armor, packaging materials and $3,800.

Morgantown Police Chief Ed Preston said residents should call the police department’s tip line if they learn about criminal activity. The tip line’s number is 304-284-7520. Information can also be left anonymously at the police department’s website.
