Mercer County collision leaves one dead, two injured

PRINCETON, W.Va. — One person was killed, and two others were injured in a two-vehicle accident in the Princeton area Sunday.

According to West Virginia State Police, a pickup truck collided with an SUV, while both vehicles were traveling westbound on U.S. Route 460 near Oakvale.

Investigators said an occupant of the SUV was ejected and died at the scene. Another passenger in the vehicle and the driver of the pickup were taken to Princeton Community Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The identities of those involved have not been released.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
