PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — A second suspect has been charged in connection with the death of a Parkersburg woman over the weekend.

Michael Wayne Leadmon, 22, of Parkersburg was taken into custody and charged with one count of murder on Tuesday following the death of Karen Yeager, 68. Leadmon was arraigned before Wood County Magistrate Jody Purkey.

Yeager’s body was found on Monday by detectives on First Avenue in South Parkersburg after she was reported missing by family on Sunday.

A 17-year old is also facing murder charges in the case. Police found the juvenile driving Yeager’s vehicle in North Parkersburg just after midnight on Monday.

An investigation is ongoing but investigators believe the homicide occurred during a robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Parkersburg Police Department at 304-424-8444.
