RICHWOOD, W.Va. — A Nicholas County teacher was charged recently with possession of a deadly weapon.
According to the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department, they received a complaint that a teacher had brought a pistol onto the property of Cherry River Elementary School in Richwood.
Deputies later charged Shana Knight, 34, of Richwood, with possessing a deadly weapon on the premises of an education facility.
She was arraigned and posted a $10,000 bond.
According to a news release, the incident occurred on August 27.
