MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. — It took fire crews several hours to knock down a blaze that occurred Friday afternoon in downtown Moundsville.

The fire. which was in a building on First Street, destroyed a car accessory shop and two upstairs apartments. There were no injuries.

Crews from 10 different fire crews from West Virginia and Ohio were on the scene. Reports indicate it took about three hours to put out the fire. A few other buildings were damaged.

The cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
