Car leaves road, does damage in eastern Kanawha County

MARMET, W.Va. — A driver lost control of his car in the eastern Kanawha County town of Marmet Saturday evening, sending into a front yard and destroying a handicap walkway.

The car ran off Route 61 near the 81st Street intersection. The driver was taken away from the scene in handcuffs.

A handicap walkway attached to a mobile home was destroyed in the collision.

No injuries were reported.
