Police name 6 suspects in recent shootings in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Police and Kanawha County prosecutors have named six men they believed either directly or indirectly involved in a rash of recent shootings on the city’s West Side.

Police released the mugshots of the six Friday afternoon “with the goal of preventing future violence.”

“These individuals have a history of engaging in violent crimes and should be considered armed and dangerous,” police said.

All six have active warrants out for their arrests separate from the shootings. Police listed those charges in Friday’s release.

The suspects are identified as Tre Davis, 31, wanted for strangulation; Daniel Battle, 35, wanted for first degree murder by Huntington police, burglary and attempted robbery in Charleston; Shalor Gore, 20, wanted for second degree robbery; Lawrence Foye, 33, wanted on a capias warrant; Malik Hawk, 22, wanted for wanton endangerment; and Braheem Griffin, 26, wanted for first degree murder.
