Game time announced for West Virginia-Iowa State matchup

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia’s Oct. 12 game against Iowa State will kick off at 4 p.m. and be televised on ESPN, the Big 12 office announced on Monday.

That game marks the first time this season that the Mountaineers (3-1, 1-0 Big 12) will play consecutive home games. No. 11 Texas (3-1, 1-0) visits Milan Puskar Stadium this week.

Iowa State (2-2, 0-1) hosts TCU (3-1, 1-0) this week. The Cyclones have made a habit of playing close games. Their two losses are by a combined three points, while one of their wins was an overtime squeaker over FCS Northern Iowa. Thrown in to that mix is one of the biggest blowouts of the season, a 72-20 win over Louisiana-Monroe.
