Huntington woman admits to embezzling thousands from credit union

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Huntington woman has admitted to embezzling thousands of dollars from a credit union.

Frances McComas, 56, pleaded guilty to embezzlement on Monday.

McComas, previously a teller at the West Virginia Federal Credit Union, admitted taking $165,500 from the credit union and falsifying financial records to hide the action.

She faces up to 30 years in prison and five years of supervised release. Her sentencing date is scheduled for Jan. 6.
