Fire damages Bridgeport market

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Three businesses were damaged in a fire that took place Thursday morning at the Provence Market in Bridgeport.

Authorities said flames and smoke damaged Provence Market Cafe, Artworks and Hempworks.

The fire was reported at a few minutes before 7:30 a.m. It appeared to have started in the area occupied by Artworks. There were no injuries.

Fire crews from Bridgeport and several other Harrison County departments were on the scene.

Authorities said the cause of the fire didn’t appear to be suspicious.
