MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The 2019 WVU Homecoming Parade will begin on High Street Friday at 6:30 p.m. The Grand Marshal is WVU graduate and founder and CEO of Mali Enterprises, Dr. Joshua Mali.
Mali is an award-winning retinal specialist in Sarasota, Florida and was named America’s Top Ophthalmologist in 2018 and was recently honored with the 2018 Outstanding Alumnus for the West Virginia University Department of Biology for his leadership.
Mali Enterprises is known for the Mali Eyeglass Holder. It is used to safely and securely hold the patient’s eyeglasses during the slit lamp microscope examination. In addition, it can attach to most tables in healthcare examination rooms, procedure rooms, and virtually any table/nightstand at home or in the office in order to hold eyeglasses/keys/cellphones/purses/handbags as needed.
Mali has some advice for current students.
“Focus on your studies, focus on what makes you satisfied from a career standpoint and really put your heart and soul into that and opportunities will come,” he said. “The university is a wonderful place, a great place. It will give you plenty of opportunities.”
Mali said the skills and work ethic he developed as a student has given him the foundation to help many people. with his professional talent and philanthropy.
