Marion County grand jury hands up indictments in shooting deaths

FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Two men have been indicted on murder charges by a Marion County grand jury.

The panel named William Littleton, 27, and Richard Moore II, 35, in first degree murder indictments in connection with the December 2018 death of Justin Cassella.

The grand jury also indicted James Hinerman III in a separate case. Hinerman, 24, is charged in the shooting last Christmas that claimed the life of Peggy Sanders.

Hinerman was indicted on charges of wanton endangerment with a firearm and involuntary manslaughter.

Police allege Hinerman was messing with his gun in a group of people and refused to stop pointing it. It then went off striking Sanders. She died later at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
