Deputies: Man struck and killed near Mercer Mall

PRINCETON, W.Va. — Sheriff’s deputies in Mercer County are investigation a collision that killed a man waling along U.S. Route 460 Thursday night.

It happened near the Mercer Mall at around 11:40 p.m., deputies said.

The 44-year-old man was walking against traffic in the eastbound lane when he was struck. His name has not been released.

Deputies said the driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries. No charges have been filed.
