Bell ringing ceremony scheduled in memory of Ryan Diviney

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A bell ceremony to remember Ryan Diviney will be held at Olgebay Plaza Friday at noon.

Diviney was a pre-law student at WVU when he was attacked and gravely injured 10 years ago. Diviney succumbed to his injuries in August of this year.

Austin Issac Vantrease and Jonathan Matthew May, both of Newark, Delaware, were convicted in the assault. Vantrease was paroled after serving four years of his 10-year sentence. May served seven-months in prison.
