Game day traffic impacted by I-79 wreck

SERVIA ROAD, W.Va. — A logging truck wrecked on Interstate 79 in Braxton County early Saturday morning, losing its load and slowing traffic.

The wreck happened at around 5 a.m. at mile marker 48 just north of the Servia Road exit near the Braxton County Rest Area.

According to West Virginia 511, “A tractor Trailer turned on its side in the median lost its load of logs , Northbound lanes closed for cleanup.”

One of two northbound lanes had been opened by 7:20 a.m.

The wreck is impacting northbound traffic heading to Morgantown for today’s game against Texas Tech. There were no immediate estimates on how long cleanup would take.
