Multiple fire departments put out Spencer structure blaze

SPENCER, W.Va. — Dozens of firefighters fought an overnight structure blaze in Roane County Monday into Tuesday.

Authorities said that no one fighting the fire or inside the apartment building were seriously injured.

The building that caught fire around 8 p.m. on Monday sits along First Street.

Fire crews from Spencer got help battling the blaze from crews that drove in from other parts of Roane, Jackson and Calhoun counties.

Three units were in the apartment building but only one was affected.

The cause of the fire is still being determined.
