Morgantown to host state’s elite teams in holiday tourney

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Six teams from around West Virginia will take the court at Morgantown High School this weekend in the G Force Lock & Safe Holiday Classic.

All five games in the two-day tournament will be broadcast on WAJR-AM in Morgantown. Fans around the state can tune into the live stream at wajr.com by clicking the ‘Listen Live’ icon at the top of the page. The broadcast links will also be available at wvmetronews.com.

Luke Wiggs and Fred Persinger II will have the broadcast calls of each contest.

Tournament Schedule:

Friday, Dec. 20th:

  • University (2-0) vs. Woodrow Wilson (1-0) – 6 p.m.
  • Morgantown (3-0) vs. Hurricane (1-0) – 7:45 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 21st:

  • Girls: Morgantown (1-4) vs. Martinsburg (1-1) – 2:30 p.m.
  • University vs. Hurricane – 4:15 p.m.
  • Morgantown vs. Woodrow Wilson – 6 p.m.
