CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Gov. Jim Justice has checked off one of the promises made in his State of the State Address through an executive order.
Justice on Thursday authorized the creation of the West Virginia Narcotics Intelligence Unit, which will be responsible for supporting other law enforcement agencies on addressing drug trafficking.
The West Virginia Narcotics Intelligence Unit is part of the state Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety’s Intelligence Fusion Center.
According to Justice’s Wednesday remarks, the agency costs $1.9 million.
