Cabell Midland girls retain lead in MetroNews Power Index

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Cabell Midland remains the leader in the second release of the MetroNews Girls Basketball Power Index. The Knights (12-0) are the only unbeaten team remaining in Class AAA. Wheeling Park (13-1) follows closely behind in second.

Class AA teams make up the rest of the top five. Frankfort (11-1) is third. North Marion (11-1) is fourth and Winfield (11-1) is fifth. Greenbrier East (9-1), Martinsburg (10-2), Wayne (11-1), South Charleston (8-2) and Fairmont Senior (9-2) round out the top ten.

Huntington St. Joseph’s (14-0) leads the Class A schools. The Irish are 18th overall.
