MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Local and federal authorities arrested a man Wednesday suspected of a shooting outside of a Morgantown bar.

Jaja Kiambu Fitzpatrick, 47, was taken into custody without incident at an apartment on Luke Street in Morgantown.

Fitzpatrick allegedly shot someone outside of the 4th and Goal bar on Nov. 17. The shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation.

The victim was later treated at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

“I believe this subject is believed to be dealing in narcotics in the area as well,” he said.

The Morgantown Police Department, Monongalia County SWAT team and U.S. Marshals Servicecooperated on the arrest.
