Turnpike wreck slows traffic

MOSSY, W.Va. — Traffic was slowed for several hours Tuesday on the West Virginia after a tractor trailer crashed in Fayette County.

The wreck, which took place in the southbound lanes between the Mossy and Mahan, reduced traffic to one lane.

The driver lost of the tractor trailer at around 8 a.m. Part of the truck ended up over the median wall. Traffic was still slow moving at 4 p.m. Authorities hoped to have the road cleared some time Tuesday evening.

There was no immediate word on injuries.
