Wheeling Park remains on top of MetroNews Girls Basketball Power Index

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Wheeling Park maintains their hold on the top spot in the MetroNews Girls Basketball Power Index. The Patriots have completed their regular season with a 19-3 record.

Frankfort (20-1), North Marion (20-1), Greenbrier East (16-3) and Parkersburg (15-5) complete the top five.

Woodrow Wilson (15-4), Winfield (19-2), Cabell Midland (14-5), Martinsburg (15-5) and Huntington (14-7) round out the top ten.

Summers County (15-6) is tops among Class A teams in 21st. Parkersburg Catholic (21-0) is 23rd and defending Class A state champion Huntington St. Joseph’s (20-1) is 25th.

The final index will be released on Monday, February 24th at the conclusion of regular season play.
