CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in West Virginia has increased from 39 to 51, the state Department of Health and Human Resources announced Wednesday.
New cases have been identified in Jackson, Kanawha, Logan, Marion, Monongalia, Ohio, Preston, Putnam and Raleigh counties.
The most reported cases are from Monongalia County with 18 confirmed cases.
The department also noted 1,082 West Virginians have been tested, in which 1,031 tests have come back negative. The results of 19 tests are still pending at the state lab.
