Three counties report confirmed coronavirus cases

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Coronavirus cases were confirmed Friday in Greenbrier, Marion and Pleasants counties. Each reported by local health departments.

The Greenbrier County case is that county’s second. The county health department said the person has a history of travel and is a known contact of the first confirmed case.

The Marion County Health Department reported a third positive case.

“I can tell you they are hospitalized at this point,” Marion County Health Department administrator Lloyd White said. “In terms of what Their condition is, I really can’t say with any specificity.”

The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department said the Pleasants County case was that county’s first.

The totals will eventually be added to the state numbers which stood at 76 confirmed cases Thursday night.
