Deadly crash reported in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — One person was killed in a single vehicle crash in Charleston Thursday morning.

Authorities said the wreck occurred on state Route 114 near Capital High School at around 9 a.m.

The vehicle took out a utility pole. Traffic was expected to be slowed for several hours.

The name of the victim was not immediately released. Charleston police are investigating.
