Three Guys Before The Game – WVU’s Kevin Koken (Episode 201)

Legendary West Virginia quarterback Major Harris would have never touched the ball if it weren’t for Kevin Koken.

The captain and starting center of WVU’s 1988 Fiesta Bowl team epitomized the blue-collar mentality that led the Mountaineers to an undefeated regular season and date in the national championship game.

On this episode, Koken reflects on the intangible qualities that made the team special and why he cancelled recruiting visits to Notre Dame, Michigan State and other schools after visiting Morgantown.
