Brand has spent three seasons with the Terrapins. He appeared in just four games in 2018, preserving a redshirt season. Brand played in 26 games in his Maryland career, making one start.
His most productive game last fall came against Rutgers, where he collected four tackles (three for loss) and a sack. The 5-foot-11, 248-pounder took the field in twelve games last season.
Brand played his high school football at Clayton Valley Charter in Concord, Ca. and IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. He was listed as a three-star recruit and also had offers from Arizona and Toledo.
