Shawn Falkenstein is the "Jack of All Trades" around Metronews, performing news, sports and talk show duties.
The West Virginia University graduate has worked for the past seven years in Metronews' Morgantown office and is currently the News Director for WAJR and WVAQ as well as a correspondent for the Metronews radio network and website.
The Morgantown native also takes on several sporting jobs, writing for this website and contributing to Metronews Mountaineer Countdown and Coliseum Countdown. He is the studio host for WAJR's broadcasts of Morgantown and University High School football. He also regularly fills in as a host on Metronews Sunday Night Sportsline.
Then there is the off-air work. Shawn has been the producer of Metronews Gamenight, the network's most listened to show, since the show's creation. He also is the driving force behind the Metronews Power Index, compiling the records for all 135 high schools in West Virginia.
