Martinsburg (18-2) stays as the No. 1 team in the Warner Law Offices MetroNews Power Index for boys high school basketball in the state. South Charleston (18-1) stays at No. 2 overall following wins over Winfield, Nitro, Capital and Spring Valley.

Greenbrier East (17-2) stays at No. 3, despite a loss to 63-52 loss to Princeton. Princeton comes in at No. 8 following the win with a 16-4 record. Morgantown (14-5) split a pair of games with University and fell to Wheeling Park, but comes in at No. 4, just ahead of Woodrow Wilson (16-4).

Bluefield (17-2) is the highest Class AA team ranked, coming in overall at No. 13. The Beavers suffered their second loss on the year, falling to No. 3 Greenbrier East.

The highest ranked Class A team is Tug Valley (16-3), coming in at No. 20, following a 61-38 win over Charleston Catholic.

    Just to let you know Westside has beat Wyoming East 2 out of 3 times this year and you still have them ranked ahead of Westside. Don't understand your thinking.

      Hey Barry - thanks for the comment. However, no human element/thinking at all to these rankings. It's all computer rankings with numbers and strength of schedule. But there are always some areas where it doesn't come out perfect, like you mentioned above.
