Every player on this team has the ability, but they have to start playing together. I’ve never seen such a group of horrible shooters. I find it hard to believe they were this bad when they were recruited. I thought Keaton Miles would have been gone after last season, but he’s still there. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Huggins leave a couple more players at home next time. He’ll have to go with a smaller bench at some point and just live with it. Trying to play 12 guys a game just destroys continuity, but most of the poor decisions have nothing to do with coaching. When did Rutledge ever get the green light to take 20ft shots or start a fast break? Do coaches actually tell Gary Browne to drive into the lane against four big men only to get blocked? Does Huggins tell his players to ignore Eron Harris when he has the hot hand and try to find 0fer20 Hinds to take a 3-point shot? I don’t like Huggins constant cursing and screaming, but I respect his honesty.

I ve been down as anyone, but the Aplology he gave the state of WV and the acceptance o f responsibility that its wrong and he will fix it…Reassures me why I love Bob Huggings..WV tried and true, he understands that all the WV fans should be mad as he is….And accepted that it may take him a while to fix…his honesty and dedication to this state is why I would rather lose with Huggy anyday because he cares about the WV fans….and lets the players know also. I have faith in Huggs.

It baffles me that any D-1 team can shoot the basketball this poorly. Throw out all the other deficiencies–if we make just 43% of our shots, we win an additional 5 games and no one is upset. It has to hurt the players to hear their coach ridicule them publicly. Not classy.

in your dreams, there’s nothing coming back for next year that will make much difference to the outcome of this so called team, i said all along that team chemistry would be our biggest problem,, turns out, we simply are a poor shooting team also. we won’t make the ncaa next year, maybe the nit,, nothing this year.
