Eddie George: Year of the running back

DALLAS, Texas — Who cares about the lack of big-name quarterbacks in the Big 12? Not Eddie George, who anticipates a banner year for running backs in the league.

He’s intrigued to watch Baylor’s Lache Seastrunk, Oklahoma’s Damien Williams and “the three-headed monster at Texas.” He also alludes “a few others who can dominate” — perhaps an unbilled nod to West Virginia’s Charles Sims?

The Heisman Trophy winner, now working as an analyst for Fox Sports, also said he’ll be interested to see whether WVU regains the rushing attack that abandoned it at times last fall.
