Ron Fragale wasn’t out of the Legislature for long.

Gov. Tomblin has appointed Fragale, who lost his re-election bid to the House of Delegates representing Harrison County last November, to fill an open seat.

Fragale, a Democrat, will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Sam Cann, who the Governor appointed to fill a vacancy in the state Senate.

“Ron’s twenty-year history of public service will once again be a valuable asset to the people of the 48th District,” Tomblin said.  “I look forward to working with him to put West Virginia first when the Legislature convenes later this month.

Fragale, 62, has served 10 terms in the House.

I do not know Mr. Ron Fragale, however, there appears to be a pattern developing with the governor's office of appointing candidates that were defeated in their respective elections. Case in point is Mr. Fragale. Another is an appointment by Joe Manchin. When Mike Ross , D-Randolph, lost his bid for the state senate, Manchin appointed him to the house of delegates to fill the unexpired term of a delegate killed in an accident.
These governors just don't get. Both these men were defeated in general elections and the voters spoke, yet, their choices were ignored!
    Arrogance at its height!
