The turnover on Marshall’s coaching staff continues. Sources confirmed Wednesday that offensive line coach Geep Wade was leaving the staff to take a similar position at Middle Tennessee State University.
Wade joined Marshall’s staff in February 2012. He was primarily in charge of the interior of the offensive line working mainly with the centers and guards with Bill Legg coached the tackles and tight ends.
Prior to Marshall, Wade coached linemen at his alma mater of Tennessee-Chattanooga where he also served as the recruiting coordinator. Wade also spent four seasons at the University of Tennessee-Martin. Wade and his wife, who have a daughter, are both from Tennessee.
Wade’s departure is the latest for Doc Holliday’s staff which has seen tremendous turnover this offseason. Wade is the fourth coach to leave the staff, joining Chris Rippon (resigned), Tony Petersen (La. Tech), and Lytrel Pollard (Southern Miss).

These departures by the coaches at Marshal are in no way a reflection on the head coach Doc Holiday! This happens all the time. Coaches are going to move around to places that best suit themselves or their families.
