Are you guys serious St Joe 4th in Single A? They did beat Wheeling Central by 8 and St Joe didn't have their returning scoring leader from last year. If you guys are going to rank teams at least pay attention to who they play!!! Unbelievable!!! Not to mention St Joe has won 4 state titles in a row and returned their top 4 players from last yr and added a freshmen with D-1 offers already!!! You should be ashamed of this mess!!

How in the world could you have St. Joseph Central at #4? They have already defeated Wheeling Central. They play a schedule that is stronger than most AAA schools. It seems to me that you have people voting on this that don’t have a clue what there doing!!!!!!!!!

Harold and Scott...the Power Index is NOT voted on...its a computer poll...St Joe's SOS is what is hurting it at this point...this is the first poll..it will all shake out in the end.

Why are there always more power indexes for boys basketball than for girls basketball? The AP with their polls and coverage and MaxPreps with their fantastic site both treat girls and boys the same. Is it not time for Metro News Sports to also treat female athletes and their coaches, parents and fans the same as male athletes? There was a time when you only did boys power indexes and I complained vigorously, but it is well past the time to treat the two sports to the same coverage.

You said its St.Joe strength of schedule is hurting them? Are you kidding!!!!! Valley has played 2 teams with a winning record. St.Joe has played one with a losing record which Valley also played and so did Greenbrier East(Charleston Cath) GE won by 12 Valley won by 9 and St. Joe beat them by 59. I hope Valley does make it to the state tournament and gets matched up against St. Marys or St. Joe.
