Huntington and Greenbrier West took home state championships at the 2013 state wrestling tournament from Huntington. The title for Huntington snaps a string of four straight Class AAA titles by Parkersburg South.
Pt. Pleasant, meanwhile, had won three straight Class AA/A titles prior to moving to Class AAA this year. The Black Knights finished sixth place out of AAA, while Parkersburg South placed third, behind Parkersburg.
